Old Computers.net is our Web of the week... I found this looking for new technology... it's a site that features old computer and a timeline of their demise... Technology student.com This is a great design and technology site the covers craft and design and graphics topics. You may have to do a little digging to find what you are looking for but the text are good as are the animations explaining things. Peterhead Academy Technical department - this site contains a wealth of revision material for both craft and Design and Graphics at all levels Ergonomics for School - this is a really useful site that explains all about ergonomics Craft and Design - This is a great revision site designed by Ardnamurchan High School CDT department. The revision powerpoints are related to metal and wood projects and cover a wide range of topicsThe Gadget Show - this link is for FIVE's "Gadget show" and has many good review's of future technology and consumer items Chris Padilla - This is an example of a young designer's website... Chris featured on our home page for a while with his sports shoe designs... have a look at his marker rendering it's just great... Graphic Communication.org - not working so well these days but still has some useful Knowledge and Interpretation materials. Design Classics - This is the collection of designed products assembled by web designer Patrick Taylor - good back ground information on a number of well known design classics Design Addict - This is a great site that showcases the work of many international male and female designer and covers a wide cross section of commercial design... have a look Safety Signs - This commercial web site has all of the signs that you should see post around the schools... useful for revision (graphic Communication) and disability week... How Steel is Made - a web site by the UK Steel Association that shows how steel is made and used SketchUp - This link has been update and downloads sketch up free version 6, a mac version is also available. ProDesktop - For support on ProDesktop and Tutorial to get you started why not visit this site Apple - Just a lovely site with very well designed products... many by British designer Jonathan Ive Design Museum - interested in design... here is the definitive place to start Royal High School CDT department web site this is really the inspiration for our little site... have a look to see what other edinburgh students are up to... Contemporary Designers - This is a brilliant site with hundreds of examples of designers work... the site also has biographies of many designer from around the world... to get you started click on the furniture tab and just pick something Alessi see some of the products that were our inspiration for our S3 clocks Aztecs - The Aztec's are usually one of our themes for and S1 or S2 project... this is a very good web site with lots of information to get you started on your research pages are we missing something... if there is a site you think should be here please let us know! |
